Overview

The Gary W. Rollins College of Business (RCOB) at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga ( UTC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty at the rank of assistant or associate professor beginning in the fall of 2024. Candidates must be able to teach Auditing. A secondary interest in accounting information systems or analytics is beneficial.

The Department of Accounting in the RCOB provides a collegial work environment in which faculty support each other and their students; we are interested in identifying faculty who want to make UTC their long-term home. Faculty are encouraged to find their teaching and research passion and pursue those interests. We foster a diverse environment including two active student organizations in accounting (BAP and IMA). The RCOB also sponsors a Veterans Entrepreneurship Program that is highly respected.

Salary and benefits are competitive with peer institutions. Responsibilities include teaching nine credit hours per semester, conducting research leading to quality refereed journal publications and conference presentations, and providing service at the Department, College, and/or University level.

The RCOB has long-standing AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as supplemental accreditation in accounting. The RCOB serves approximately 2,400 students and has a highly productive, collegial faculty. The Accounting Department has both undergraduate and graduate programs in accounting (Master of Accountancy), including forensic data analytics track at the graduate level. In addition, the RCOB currently houses a Master of Science in Data Analytics program, an undergraduate concentration in Business Analytics, a 100% online MBA program as well as a flexible MBA program with data analytics concentration, and a graduate-level data analytics certificate program.
