Overview

The Department of Management, International Business, and Business Communications at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) seeks an Assistant Professor of Management to begin August 1, 2024.

Successful candidates will be expected to teach a 3-3 load of lower- and upper-division courses. In addition to teaching, applicants are expected to actively participate in scholarly activities, demonstrate a commitment to student engagement and mentorship, and participate in service to the college and community.

Applicants should show a strong interest in teaching a variety of courses in management and leadership. Applicants should demonstrate significant innovation in teaching and commitment to student success. GGC emphasizes a student-centered learning environment.

GGC’s School of Business is AACSB accredited. In accordance with Board of Regents policy concerning GGC faculty, successful assistant professors in this non-tenure track appointment will be eligible to receive a three-year appointment. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution in management or closely related field on or before the start date.
  • A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours within the field of management or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Teaching Experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses in management and leadership.
  • Research: A strong record of scholarly research with a focus on contributions to the field of management.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to teach a variety of undergraduate management, leadership, and business communication courses based on departmental needs.
