Overview

The School of Professional and Graduate Studies in Overland Park KS seeks to fill the position of a full time associate professor/chair for graduate business programs. The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree in business or related discipline and have industry experience in a leadership position, as well as possess significant teaching experience.

This is a non-tenure track, contracted position that has responsibility for providing leadership toward the achievement of the highest possible level of excellence in the teaching and service activities of the graduate programs. The Chair provides leadership and support for all graduate programs at SPGS, including faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation; curriculum development, enhancement, assessment and revision; as well as contributing to teaching within the programs. The Chair will teach, serve as mentor to faculty colleagues and as collaborator with other administrative officers, interpret SPGS and University policy, advocate for the graduate programming from a perspective of the best overall interests of SPGS, lead faculty in important processes that shape the curriculum, and effectively articulate program missions to internal and external constituencies. The Chair will also be responsible for leading the committee that is pursuing ACBSP accreditation for SPGS.
