Overview

llinois College invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor position in Business. We seek applicants who can develop and teach online business courses in Management, with strong interest in one or more of the secondary fields of human resource management, sports management, marketing, economics, finance, or agribusiness. Some face-to-face classroom teaching also desired, but two-day-a-week on campus schedule possible; most instruction will be online. We seek a candidate who values the liberal arts as a critical foundation for Business education. Evidence of excellence in teaching essential. Ongoing scholarly engagement with the life of the discipline(s) also important. Professional business experience preferred. Teaching load is three courses per semester. Doctorate preferred; MBA or other appropriate advanced degree considered.

The College is located in historic Jacksonville, Illinois, 30 miles west of the capital city of Springfield and 70 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri.
